Who we are
North Eden Digital is a web design business based in Carlisle, Cumbria. We are responsible for any personal information you share with us through this website.
If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email us at hello@northedendigital.co.uk.
What we collect
When you contact us using our website form or by email, we collect the details you give us: usually your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), your business name and information about your project.
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site securely and protect it from abuse. We don't use this to identify you.
How we use your information
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you become a client, to deliver and manage your website.
Our lawful basis for this is that you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
We never sell your information, and we will not add you to any marketing list without your permission.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with the services we need to run this website and our email:
- Cloudflare, which hosts and protects this website
- Web3Forms, which delivers messages from our contact form to our inbox
- Namecheap (Private Email), our email provider
These providers handle data on our behalf. Some may store data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place to protect it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 12 months. If you become a client, we keep records of our work together for 6 years, as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. To make a request, email hello@northedendigital.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, so there's no cookie banner. If we add analytics in future, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
